Hi,

I have made myself a test forum where I can work with new ideas without bothering my members :)

In this test forum I have been working with customizing the page based on the good guidance here: https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Add_a_custom_action_using_integration_hooks

This works perfect. Take a look here : https://kroweb.dk/dialog_test/index.php?action=youraction

Well - what I am after is the ability to create my own header at the very top of the page and above the forum, or alternatively replace the theme header (see attached image) with my own header.

I have my own customized header made up in a separat .php file.

I am sure that this is done in the file corresponding to the YourAction.template.php file in the tutorial, but I don't know how to do it.

If anybody knows how to do this I am all ears :) :)

no, actually this would generally NOT be done in a separate template file -- unless you want the header to only show when you access that specific action page.

If you want a global header change...   then either install the global header & footers mod, or edit index.template.php to add your own code into template_html_above (I think)

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

Thanks Kindred,

That sounds just right :)

Could you guide me to find the mod global header & footers mod?
