Counter / Besucherzähler einfügen geht nicht

Hallo!

Mein Forum ist nun SSL-Verschlüsselt. Jetzt brauche ich einen neuen Counter, weil der alte nicht mehr läuft.
Ich habe einen guten gefunden, von dem ich alles selbst hosten kann. Auf einer Website läuft er bereits auch schon, aber ich weiß nicht, wie ich ihn im Forum einbauen kann. Alle Versuche sind fehlgeschlagen.
Es wäre super, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte.

Die Code-Strings müssen in die index.template.php.
Diese Zeile muss dabei ganz oben als allererste hin, jedenfalls bei normalen Homepages:

Hat niemand einen Vorschlag, wie oder wo ich die beiden Zeilen in die Seite einfügen muss oder was ich an den Zeilen vielleicht noch ändern sollte, damit sie auf der Seite funktionieren könnten?
