Two Domains Same Forum Data

I am not sure if this is possible, but if I don't ask, then I'll never know 

Is it possible to have SMF installed on two separate domains, with separate theming, but accessing the same forum database?  Both domains are hosted on the same VM and have access to Maria DB.  If this is possible, I would be most appreciative if someone could point me in the direction of any documentation that would assist me in this endeavor.

no this is not possible by default with SMF.
