I have a new forum and my host provided an SSL security certificate. Problem is that after I installed the DeepBlue theme, The certificate padlock appears on all pages but the home page. I changed back to the default theme, and the padlock returns on home screen. my host says there must be a refference to "http" on that theme home page, that should say "HTTPS". Can anyone tell me where to fix this? Im not real hip on coding.

Thanks

google chrome is your friend.. use the console embedded, and click the error for precise location of the issue...

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.fedupwithliberals.com/index.php'; was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://www.fedupwithliberals.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif';. This content should also be served over HTTPS. index.php:259

Could this be it?

yes, make sure the URL's for your smileys in the admin panel is set correctly.
