Is it possible to update a modification?

I have a mod that causes problems after I migrated to https.
I saw that there is a newer version of the mod (Optimus brave)
Is it possible to update the mod or I have to delete it and reinstall the newest version?

You should uninstall the current version, then install newer version.  Watch for errors.
