What to do with fixed mods?

I fixed the BBC Permissions mod to work with 2.0.15 but I don't know what to do with it as the author is completely unresponsive when I PMed them about it. Should I just reupload the mod and specify the original author?

you should only do that if the license allows you to do that.

you can not do that unless the license of the mod allows you to redistribute altered files.

the only thing that you are always allowed to do is to give coding instructions on what code to add/remove/change

even if the mod author says it is ok, if they dont change the license you cant modify the mod.

I have had many people do it over the years..I haven't ever said anything except one time when it was built to be a basis of another submitted mod.
I kind of like seeing it at times if it gives me an idea on a fix.
