Hi all, I am struggling with the same problem.

I have enabled the Lets Ecrypt SSL on my site, which consists of my main domain which is my forum, and my sub domain which is a word press site.
The word press site is on the green lock, so the SSL is fine on that. The forum has a lock with a line through it.
I have spoken to my new hosts, and they have checked and shown me that there are some images on my forum that are causing the mixed content http/https. These are my smiley set, and the extra smileys that I have uploaded. These all have the http prefix.
He has suggested that I re-upload the smileys and then they will have the https pre-fix. If I was to do this, would that alter every post that my members have made using the smileys to the correct https?

Is there an easier way to this? Can I just go into the smiley folder and change the prefix to https?

I really am not techy at all, the thought of having to go into the back end of the forum terrifies me, so I just want to check exactly the best way to fix everything.

Please help.

Try going to Admin > Forum > Smileys & Message Icons > Settings ... Base URL to all smiley sets

Change to https there, if it isn't already
