The same logic also applies if one goes to ?action=post without supplying a board parameter. 2.0 will die with a fatal_lang_error if the user does that, whereas 2.1 will simply show a select menu to choose a board. So, those changes should still be relevant to you. :)

Not as relevant as you'd think, because 'if the user has permission' is a really, really complex question in my world.

Can a user see a given board? Sometimes. Can they post there? Sometimes. The circumstances will vary per user because my users have multiple profiles under a single real account (subaccounts done properly)
