Moving to a new windows cloud server - need info

Hey guys,
I just want to check in here to make sure I get this right before I do anything

I have to move my web sites and forum to a new windows cloud server at another host

I Remote desktop into the servers and have access to the windows OS platform just as if I am sitting at a windows desktop
Copying folders from one server to another is really simple, just right click, copy and paste
My Ip will change, but nothing else will charge as far as domain names, etc

The old server is windows server 2008
The new server will be windows server 2016
The old server is still live, I have not moved to the new server yet.

What is the simplest way to go about moving the forum?

Do I have to install SMF 2.0.15 and set up the Mysql Database from scratch?
Can I just copy everything from one server to the other server?

The new host say that they will do the migration themselves
But I am not sure about the forum and how that will migrate?

I do MySql backups of all my MySql databases and so I can get fresh copies as .sql files
It's been a long time since I had to move to a new server, so I am looking for any tips on moving the forum.
