I will not link to the forum in question - but if I have it right, I wish to point out that you have apparently on purpose hidden the SMF copyright, along with many other copyright statements, by changing the font size of them to 0px.

In the case of SMF copyright, this is legal but we reserve the right to deny support from those who choose to do this.
In the case of all the other hidden copyright statements, you may actually be in breach of their licensing terms, and I would kindly request you consider fixing this.

I was wondering about this.  On the Copyright Information wiki page, it says you are allowed to remove the copyright but will remove support eligibility (for 2.0 and above I assume?). However, it doesn't say anything about altering it. What are the boundaries to changing the format of the copyright without losing access to support?

Also, by default, the footer is not centered and it does my head in.

Actually altering the format of the original copyright statement would be illegal. We have allowed for hiding the version number, but that is it.

I'm talking about the footer copyright in particular, not the copyright page.

So am I. You are allowed to change the appearance by formatting the font or color of the text, as long as it remains visible and legible, and change or hide the version number, but other than that it should remain as it is.

You are however allowed to move it, it does not have to be in the center of the footer. As long as it is visible, the location is not important.

I have to admit, ten or more years ago when I zeroed out the copyright area, I never cared. These days I think different. I just hadn't thought about it for years. Still, I believe that the copyright area should not interfere with the site and should blend with the site. So I've made the copyright area smaller - 7 rather than zero - and given it a gray colour over a nearly black background. Easy enough for me to read and my eyesite isn't that good. It fits well and doesn't interfere with the website, but has its own distinct area that although small, does stand out.

I've never properly interacted with SMF people before. All I've ever done is offer fixes for when people have problems I've either already worked out or have and idea about. Obviously those were simple fixes compared to SMF Super Heroes LOL.

BTW I've been working - without pay - on computers since the 80's with BASIC. HTML was easy compared to BASIC. PHP ... I'm still learning.

On my screen, it's a little small - but I have no issue with it personally. It's legible. Thank you very much for your understanding.

That's how I started too ;) Gotta start somewhere.

And with PHP, the learning never stops.
