I just had a company convert my blog to https--I did my forum--and I am going through the follow-up steps.
I may have more questions to add to this as I go through more steps, but for now...set up

I am supposed to setup Google Analytics and Google Search Console/Webmaster Tools. Well, I just went to Google Search Console and saw that my forum is not a property there--only my main site at a different domain.
First question about that...
Both my forum and blog are subdomains. Do I need to set this up for each subdomain or only the top. Oh, I just checked and the top does nothing other than Error Establishing Database. It used to point to my main site--at a completely different top domain. That probably did not get changed when I changed the main site to https, so another thing to do. But the questions remains--add the forum subdomain (as well as my blog subdomain) both as properties, or just the top level domain?

Next question
I need to verify my ownership, so this is based on me needing to dd each subdomain as a separate propertyhttps://mlcforum.theherosspouse.com/roivide a file to download and then say to upload it to my forum url.
How do I do that? Where do I put it?
I know how to use cpanel to upload, but where do I put this file--just upload it to public_html/myforum?
This may just be that simple, but I want to make sure before doing anything.

To verify a domain normally just goes in public_html as long as that is the root of your domain that should work
