a question about favicon and discord widget

last favicon thread was from 2008 and all the mods are outdated so anyone can tell please how to add favicon to my forum (2.0.15 version) also discord widget how to add it to my forum?

add to your index.template in your theme and in the 'head' section, one of the three, preferably the first:

pointing to your icon, png, or gif.. make sure it's the right size!!!

1- the mods are not outdated. Several of them work just fine.  (most mods for 2.0.x will work with any other 2.0.x version - use the emulate function)

2- It should not be necessary to add that code (or any code).   Put the favicon.ico in your forum root directory and the browsers SHOULD find and use it (eventually - based on their personal browser cache settings)
