Custom Registration Form

Hi,
I'm looking for a modification that allows user to set a default member group by registration.
For example. Making a new account you can choose either "seller" or "buyer". And also by choosing "seller" you have to fill up an extra form that shows up.

There is a mod for version 1: Membergroup On Registration and everyone wanted it for version 2. Seems like there were some attempts but nothing solid.
