Hello, I'm gradually moving my stuffs to SMF.

I finally managed yo MODIFY PRETTY URL TO MY TASTE.

Now let's get straight to the point.

Okay my default forum posts URL in my old forum is
http://oldforum.com/1234/how-to-count

1234 = topic_id

Even if you change the slug to

http://oldforum.com/1234/jdhdh

jdhdh is to random typed letters,

the topic still opens which means the main part is http://oldforum.com/1234


In Pretty URL,
http://smfforum.com/1234/how-to-count

1234 = topic id

but http://smfforum.com/1234/jdhdh

will not take you to the topic.
meaning it depends on

http://smfforum.com/1234/{how-to-count}

I want to ask which of the URL is better and if I use PRETTY URL SYSTEM WILL IT AFFECT SEO??

most of my old forum slugs do not match that of pretty URL. e.g

http://oldforum.com/1234/how-run-to-eat
http://smfforum.com/1234/how-run-to-ea

the 't' was omitted.

let's imagine that kind of URL. will Google change the oldforum URL to that of SMFFORUM???

CONTENT on the page is what matters.
