Remove email notifications

Hello,

The shared hosting service I use does not allow mass/spam mailing, and it will disable mailing php scripts if mass/spam mailing is detected. Unfortunately when people get email notifications on my forums, it is being flagged as spam and my server will quickly shut off the mailing service.

Is there a way that I can disable and remove the "notify" button in SMF?

i would look for a new host that does not do that. if i was a user of a forum that did not let me use the forum as i wanted including email notifications i would leave and go elsewhere.
