Good afternoon,

I use one of your forums on our website hxxp:renewableenergyhub.co.uk [nonactive]
The forum is being used for spam constantly. Is there any way that i can remove all the backinks from the forum posts and prevent any future links being posted?

Kind regards,

E. Richardson

Yes, there are mods that can be installed to prevent the posting of links and guard your forums but SMF also has some prebuilt stuff too. https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Spam_-_my_forum_is_flooded_with_spam,_what_can_I_do

Thank you!

I will search through all this now and try to decipher it!

You can also mass delete the posts of the offending poster via their profile - delete them and all their posts.

I have been mass deleting and deleting users.
Do you know if the links are do follow or no follow?

My MD thinks the links have been nofollowed but i can't tell from viewsource.

Thanks again
