Help!!

I was in the middle of removing the facebook bbc mod and my forum just went blank

When I visit the site I just get a blank page on firefox. On chrome I get a 500 error

I had completed backed up my html directory via tar -cvf and even after restoring all site files I get the same thing

Can you access your error log from the directory of your SMF via FTP?

Same place where your Settings.php file is in, the root of your forum.

How did you restore your files?

Looks like you did not clear that mod fully.

I always do a tar -xvf xxxxxx.tar (html_folder)  before making modifications

then I do a tar -cvf xxxxxx.tar to restore the entire directory

In this instance that did not work

I went in and commented out line 1752 and that appears to have got the forum to load again

checking through everything now
