If guests are allowed to post then there should be an option to allow them to input a email (kept private) and recieve topic notifications if they wish.

Or is this already avaliable?

is here a rule at this forum
to wait until the developer will reply
                   to a request or a question..
   or not ?

Has the developer here
    a technical ability to insert his professional reply
                        before others' replies in a topic ?

My reply:

Mister Dan,

"~Allowing~ Guests to reply" is a pitfull for a person.

After replying as a Guest
      a person will have no access to his reply
                         to correct and improve it.
It is the violation of basic right of a Human Being.

This moral error of the developers
     in "allow to post and not allow to modify post"
     results from the fact of not understanding
             the difference between the melancholic person
                                        and a Human Being.

An option of "Allow Guest to speak"
originates from the far times
   when the Humanity only bagan to free itself
        from moderation.

Nowadays it is time to fight not only for half-right
                    to pronounce once..
         but for natural full posting
         with obligatory not restricted right
              to modify and control
                        the own posts.

Thus an option
~Allow "to speak without following owning rights"~

         should be moved to the shelves of a Museum
         of the Hystory of Antimoderation Movements

and replaced in practice with the Human Authorization
                              instead of registration.

Automatically the Authorized person on the planet
              will possess all forum possibilities
              having declared himself to be a Human Being.
