Per user enable/disable sigs/avatars/karma

I would like for my members to be able to turn off the viewing of all signatures/avatars and opt out of the karma system.

They can, for sigs / avatars.  Check theme options in profile.  As for karma, well, they can't.  For now.

The signatures and avatar preferences can be changed from the "Look and Layout Preferences" section of the profile. It probably wouldn't be too hard to add an option to opt out of Karma. What would that option do?

To dodge being marked unfavourably, I fear, since Foreverpurple mentions optting out of the system, not hiding karma.

I have a few older members (one in his 70's actually) who just don't get the whole idea of karma.  While its being used solely for fun on my forum, he'd rather not have a karma rating.

I didn't realize the sig/avatar thing was in place...thanks for the tip!

I know this is a bit of a bump, my apologies. but after intensive searching for an option like this on the forums, this seemed to be the only (decently recent) thread that looked promising for a solution to this.

I for one would love the option on my forum for users to opt out of the karma system. I did a little bit of searching in the php files myself, but I just don't even know where to begin with coding something like this =\

Could this be a future option on SMF boards? Does anyone know how to get this done or maybe Oldiesmann found a solution? anyhow, some feedback on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
