Moderation actions not logged

Something I've been noticing here is that some moderation actions aren't getting logged as such. Namely anything to do with removing posts that are not mine, which I think should always be counted as a moderation action. I noticed that when using the remove button in the post itself and also when using quick moderation on topic lists to remove a topic. I haven't tested it further.

Edit: Or it could be another issue just here, looks like nothing is getting logged today. The same could have happened the other times I noticed it.

if you are deleting posts and they go to the recycle board, not always do those show in the mod log as you cant see the moderation actions for the recycle board here. i see many items in the mod log for today.

That's still odd, one of them I edited before deleting just to test, and neither show. And I can see all the posts in the recycle board, as well as moderation actions from others who have sent something there.

So basically, they are there, but I can't see some of them?

yes, you deleted moved noticed, and dont have the rights to view moderation actions in the recycle board, so you cant see the actions in the logs.

Gwenwyfar

That still doesn't make sense. I can see many other removed actions and the respective posts that are now in the recycle board. Just not my own, apparently.

Edit: Actually, not even that. There are a few older posts that I deleted that show there just fine. So these are different for some reason. Maybe something to do with the boards the posts are on?

I am going to close this one out as I cannot reproduce it.  I see all my items in the mod log...

If we see it again & can get specific examples to look at, we can re-open.

Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp
