Automatically parsing HTML in posts without [html] tags

I would like to allow "basic HTML in posts" but without the need of users having to wrap html tags around their HTML. Mainly for embedding content from video/music websites. An easy way of doing this maybe would be to wrap the html tags around the entire post (but without the tags being displayed in the post field) perhaps?

Use the Simple Audio Video Embed mod - it just embeds from having the link.

I had thought of that (having used it previously) but do you not need to have specific websites coded inside of it? For example, using <video> would still require the post to have html tags?

You just grab the link from the address bar for the supported video/audio sites and put that in your post.

I know thats how that mod works, but like you said it has to be a supported site.

Yes it does unless it is a  link to a direct .mp4 or media file.
