Hi, I really like your theme and I've installed it on my forum, but for some reason the newsfader doesn't load properly. Every news item appears one below another. It's not loading as it should. Because of this it makes the theme stretch and not centered as it is on the demo. If I only have one news item the newsfader works fine.

The bg header doesn't load as it does on the demo either. I uploaded a screen shot to show as the theme isn't activated.  Everything else seems to be working ok.

Also, I would like to replace the bg header. I tried to do this by changing bg-header.png in the index css but image wouldn't appear.  Any help is appreciated.

please take this as constructive criticism.

you're doing good work, but you need to tweak some.  the theme, absent any mods that i can see and lightweight insofar as content or images is concerned, scores a 86 on PageSpeed Insight with the mobile and 93 desktop.  I wager a user could leverage some things such as caching and perhaps rely on some http2 pushes to better that score, but for every mod applied and when content begins to grow even those would be offset likely to where you are presently.

validating the site also shows 3 errors and 2 warnings, both of which can be quickly and easily corrected.

the theme declares HTML as the doctype, but SMF is going to generate a lot of xhtml-transitional.  this is going to cause errors and cause some browsers to cough- and render inconsistently.  it may be better to stay consistent with xhtml-transitional.

presently, this is good theme for someone with a defined group of users and who isn't relying on ranking.  a user developing a community will have trouble with the indexers, all who are relying on speed as a principle means to evaluate a page's worth.

it will not take a lot of work to make this cleaner, and a lot faster.

again, the criticism is meant to be constructive and meaningful- intending to assist you help us even better in the future with your theme design efforts.  Keep up the good work!!!

Just wanted to update on my previous post since I can't edit or delete it. You can ignore my post as I've decided to not use it at the moment.

Hi Gecitli,

I'm a little new to this, but how do you prevent the "flashing" every time you move from one page to another?

Also is there a way to change the font colour of the theme from Purple to say blue?

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Wilson

This is one of the best SMF themes I've seen out there. Surprised you're not at the top of the downloads list.

Hopefully I will be able to figure this out on my own. Although I thought maybe I should put this out there anyways because it seems like another was having the same issue.

Just have to say I absolutely love this theme and it's everything I could have asked for. With one tiny tiny tiny exception.

When you navigate the SVG load shows up and causes the screen to flicker really bright for a moment. Now I'm pretty savvy in Photoshop and some code, but I know nothing about SVG. Any suggestions or even pointing me in the right direction to darken the load background to the matching grey would be absolutely fantastic.

Edit: I have since been able to create an SVG file, but it doesn't cover the whole page. Now attempting to find the code to fix this.

thank you.

So sorry. I'm terrible at explaining things. -l-

Yes, thats what I mean. I tried doing a custom SVG loader with a dark grey background but the dark grey background only extends to 150x150 in size and the rest of the screen shows white during the load.

I'm looking to either make the entire load screen dark grey with the load.svg, or to just remove it entirely.

gecitli

hello open the loader.svg file with notepad ++ and change the color code here

That seems to only alter the purple of the SVG loader animation itself. I'm more looking to fill the whole screen of the loading page a dark grey instead of a white fill. So I need the entire screen to be a dark grey, instead of white.

I have now tried...
-| changing width="80px" height="80px" to 100%, and it only makes the loader part huge.
-| changing Viewbox from 0 0 100 100 to larger numbers, and it only shrinks the loader animation itself inside the small grey box in the center.
-| changing style="background: none; to a dark grey background color, but it only changes the 80px by 80px background.

This is what I have:

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, and I apologize for being difficult. -l-

I have now combed through the css files for the theme. altering what i found in bootstrap, and that still didn't change anything.
