Attachment directory permissions on Windows
« on: January 23, 2019, 06:16:48 AM »
Running SMF on windows under Abyss web server, install path is "C:\Inetpub\SMF", Abyss web server running as a system service under LOCAL_SYSTEM account. my SMF install give me an error message:

Oops, there seems to be a problem.
C:\Inetpub\SMF/attachments: Unable to move. A directory already exists at that path.

The directoty DOES exist and LOCAL _SYSTEM have almost all permissions. Where the problem could be? Trying to exchange last slash with backslash (according to standard windows path rules) but it didi not help.

What am I doing wrong?

Couldnt it be a security hole?

Well, if you ever plan on having SMF be patched at any point, short of doing it yourself, you'll need to do that anyway...
