You do know what 'RC' means, right?

Probably doesn't, but the OP does say the team think this one is ok for production sites.

The main difficulties are likely to come in upgrading to RC2 and Final, because beginners won't be able to use Pacman for that. Mods/themes are likely to be a nuisance too. Which you would obviously know, but it's probably worth pointing out for some less experienced people.

Trouble is, there's already been a pretty major breaking bug that breaks one of the headline features that can't be fixed by tweaking config. RCs should be viewed with skepticism no matter the provider, no matter what the software is. They are better betas, not stable software.

Notifications in rc do not work.  or I don't know how to use ?

Ohh, just as I was about to pull the trigger on Xen it looks like some progress is being made.

Hopefully the RC process won't be as drawn out as the beta process.

Well that's a bit of a fox's paw. But hey. Not to worry. They can do RC1.2 again. :D

Though I can't say this with as much certainty as the lead dev, that's not happening ;)

The idea is that they will have shorter releases.
