How to prevent posts from being deleted by their autors

Hello. Is there a way to prevent posts from being deleted by their authors? Is it possible at all to disable the "delete" option or is there any alternative way to accomplish this?

I'm on SMF 2.0.15.

You can do that in group permissions.

Go to: Admin> Permissions> General Permissions

Specifically look for:

Remove topics
Delete posts

Make sure that own post, any post, own topic, and any topic are not checked
