[calendar] Register for events

Does anyone know if there is or will come a Mod for SMF 2.1 that allow members to register for an event?
Would be a great feature

Unless the author updates it, there are not many possibilities. By subject of the license the mod is not updated (the author does not appear since 2016) but do not be discouraged, another similar one may appear.

I myself am likely going to need this functionality for 2.1 sometime in the next few months, so I may end up creating a new mod for it. (But before anyone gets his or her hopes up, read my signature.)
