Question 1 :May i know how do i add a small banner collumn on header top of my forum ?
i want to make 6 small banner size on top ."

Question 2 : How do i add a thread ICON ? like i want to add a flag on my board ?

Install a portal and use the top block option. This block is available in Tinyportal.

they want to add more icons, not to select the icons that exist. i think https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/SMF2.0:Smileys_and_Message_Icons#Edit_Message_Icons might help a bit on this.
