Newest post first?

Hi!

I searched this forum for an answer to this question, but didn't find any answer:

"Is it possible to show the newest post as first item?"

If I want to see the newest post I have to go to the last page and to scroll to the end of a theme. This is uncomfortable as the newest is what I'm interested in most.

Some answers say, that SMF takes PostID as a sorting criterium. This will work for me, if I can sort the other way round (descending instead of ascending).

Any help?

Admin > Configuration > Themes and Layout > Member Options


Choose the theme you are using

> Configure guest and new user options for this theme

Select: Show most recent posts at the top. and SAVE

And if you want all users to have this set...

> Change current options for all members using this theme

Select: Show most recent posts at the top. , set the box to Change and SAVE
