Hi,

I have a database of SMF 2.0.6. How do I install this database now?

m4z

You mean you have a database dump or a running database with SMF 2.0.6 data in it? Either way, you'd have to find an SMF 2.0.6 archive and (probably) "install" it.

I don't know much about this, but I'd install freshly, then restore the db dump on top.

Afterwards, I'd recommend upgrading to a more current version.

Do a clean install with new database, import the dump into the database.
When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

When I did it, I took this problem:

The data was probably dumped from a different DB version than you are currently using. Can you post your current version of SQL and the content of that line (and sanitize any personal data, if there's any)? Then an SQL expert can tell what needs to be changed.

I have this problems. I looked my database file and it was written: "-- MySQL dump 10.13  Distrib 5.1.73, for unknown-linux-gnu (x86_64)"

Where can I download mysql 5.1.73 version?

You can get it here, but really shouldn't be necessary.  Have you tried fixing the dump?

Depending on how large the db is, you can load the sql into a text editor (if it's zipped, unzip it) and see what's causing the errors.  Looks like it's right at the top of the file, maybe in the header.

When I close my forum, I took full cpanel backup. Then I tell my host firm if they restore it. Then they succesfully restore it. Thank you.
