Upgrade from Version 2.0.2 to 2.0.3 fails

Hi, can someone help? upgrade from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 is also not possible, unisntalling 2.0.3. dont work

Are you upgrading in package manager?  Which php version are you running?

You can not upgrade true the package manager.

you just download the large upgrade set and overwrite the files on your server

'Patch' may be somewhat opaque to the uninitiated.  'Update' is perhaps a better word.  Isn't that what package manager calls it?

no, it is a patch in the package manager. update was an FTP upload which is no longer provided/used.

Yup, just had a quick look at OP's forum, it is 'patch'.  Oddly, first error in all 7 files is copyright, rest are code errors.  Some of them could be from mod edits, but not all.  How many mods edit Subscriptions-PayPal.php (none, I hope)?  If I get ftp access will poke around tonight.

I'm curious, why not update to 3.0.15? He is missing out on a lot of bug fixes and improvements, not to mention security updates.

Assuming you mean 2.0.15 -- probably because he is working his way one version at a time --- which is the way upgrades within a version se4ries should be done anyway - as patches.

Well, this is interesting.  The errors are happening because the target files are already at 2.0.3, but index.php is 2.0.2, and forum thinks it's still at 2.0.2.  Looks like the patch install failed at some point, probably because OP did something he shouldn't have.  Maybe can fix it manually and avoid uploading clean files.


Ok, proceeded with 2.0.3 install, then patched up to 2.0.15 without any additional errors.  Took the liberty of creating second attachments directory (/attachments2) and made it active.  There are almost 140,000 files in /attachments, 15.7 gb.  Really not a good idea, don't imagine they're backed up too often.  Error log is clean, no server errors.  Registered admin account for Krash (that's me) to work in english, my german is somewhat limited (Scheisse! ).  Leave it for a day or so, I'll check the forum tomorrow.
