Error when using the search

hi pass the server forum and it works fine but I get this error when using the search engine

Call to undefined function gzcompress ()


PHP 7.1  SMF 2.0.15

turn off compression... or enable it on your server

SMF 2.0 does not support php 7.2, you need to downgrade your php.
