Missing Preferences / Toggle In PM system

In a very modified SMF site the PM system does not have the preference options nor can I get the PM side bar menu to show while it does show everywhere else. I have checked the templates and source files but do not see anything amiss. My question... is there a hook that could have been modified to stop the PM preference menu from showing? If so, where am I not looking? Thanks.

Nevermind. There was some custom coding that specifically blocked out the PM menu system in Subs-Menu.php and guess what... I added it there months ago and forgot about it. *slaps self in the face*.
