afrinic.net/whois not working anymore

For more than few months  afrinic.net/whois  within SMF does not redirect to afrinic.net / whois page.
Instead a white page shown up.

I did visit afrinic.net and there is a whois page,  and it works ... Now I am assuming that default script loaded at SMF for automated redirection and IP inspection, this has now outdated syntax.

You''ll need to check their API page - no doubt it's changed since SMF sourced it.

looks like they have changed their website and the old URL format no longer works. it looks like they will not support a lookup via URL like we were doing a quick glance.
