Please for instructions on how to migrate to a new domain. I also want after the migration the current domain to redirect to the new domain.

If on a normal shared hosting plan, any (good) host would (should) fix this for you, free of charge (as appreciation for you staying a loyal customer), simple job for them.
Ask them before you do anything.

Actually, that is not the SMF copyright. Although it is the TEXT of the SMF copyright statement, it does not include the links...
