Ah. Yes that makes sense. I'd forgotten about old NDT.

Skhilled

I am working on several themes from the Crip Zone. Two are only updated so far but I am working to update all of them for 2.1 Gold.

You can see them on our demo board for 2.1 here:

https://www.jpr62.com/demos21/index.php

Just use the "Theme Select" block on the top left to choose a theme.  ;)

The theme Clean white is not working well with SMF 2.1 RC2.
When I open some topic with replies, I see only first post, and after it, I get error message:

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not getting that on the version of RC2 that I have which was from May 5 or so. Mine may need to be updated and tested again.

I do have a forum that was installed June 23rd but don't remember which SMF version I used. Thanks, again, back to the drawing board. LOL
Hmmm, I'm using PHP 7.2. I wonder if that has something to do with it as well...

Arantor

SMF 2.1 should work fine with PHP 7.2.

When testing that theme, was the test done against the thread view specifically?

That's the look and layout settings on the forum where I'm testing Cleanwhite theme:

I get same error message and if set the forum to PHP 7.2

Aside from the fact that the question was directed to Skhilled, the error you posted clearly shows an issue with the thread view, not look and layout preferences.

I get that exact same error showing under post on page, if I try to run a RC1 theme on RC2 Also only started getting this after recently updating to a nightly build.  So I suspect recent changes to 2.1 haven't been incorporated in the theme.  Can't be sure but that's what it seems like to me.

Example

Visit this url to set one of my RC1 themes. https://cctestsite.info/testsite3/index.php?theme=3

Then visit this post, https://cctestsite.info/testsite3/index.php?topic=17.0 You'll see the error at the bottom of the post.

The next one is my Tenebrous theme I updated from RC1 to RC2 just this morning,

Visit to set RC2 theme https://cctestsite.info/testsite3/index.php?theme=8

Then visit this post again,  You'll see error has gone. https://cctestsite.info/testsite3/index.php?topic=17.0

Sych0 has pointed out to me that I should be using the RC versions from here. I originally started out that way with RC1 then ended up going with the Github versions from a suggestion from someone else. The versions I'll use from now on will be from here only so everyone will be on the same page, especially me. LOL Ok, back to the drawing board. LOL

As Arantor pointed out, I'm glad that this did show another issue so it can be fixed.

I have reinstalled my forum with "clean" SMF 2.1 RC2 (from 30 March 2019) and now CleanWhite theme works fine!
Even I was made it my default forum theme, you can see it here:

https://bg-nacionalisti.org/BNF/index.php

My previous installation was SMF 2.1 RC2 from Github, commit 74931eb  / 26 May 2019

Kindred

which suggests that there may have been changes in the process of the next RC that break that theme...

Looks great except for the footer. It is not completely encased within the dashed border at the bottom of the page like you see here:

https://skhilled.com/rc2/index.php?theme=9

Could possibly cause by TP. I haven't tested it yet but plan to soon. ;)

I have turned on displaying of page load time, also many mods place their copyright info in the footer. And if that info is wrapped in 5 rows or more, some of them already are out of the dashed border.

Skhilled

Now I remember...the original theme had an issue with displaying the page load time that no one could fix years ago. I will need to look into that...
