This may be of help to you: repair settings. Understanding where it goes and what it does: What is repair_settings.php?

Illori

does the QueryString.php file exist in the Sources folder? if not you will need to upload it there.

You will need to ask your host for assistance with permissions unless you know how to do it yourself.

Don't use 777, your host doesn't like it, try 775 or 755.

Permissions set on 755. Still can not save settings in repair_settings.php

Arantor

What permissions are the Settings.php file itself set to?

Thank you all for the help. I never could get the repair settings tool to work, but I edited settings.php and fixed it.

I gave my credentials to individuals on Fiverr in an attempt to get help with a glitch in my database backups and one of them sabatoged my site. I will refrain from expressing my feelings here. I do not think I could do so without profanity.
