I tried deleting my other thread, I wasn't allowed.  I'm tired of trying to get the other install working.  I have a old backup from a month or two ago.  How exactly do I do this?

Hopefully you have phpmyadmim or some tool like this for your database? You can import a database using phpmyadmin by using the import tool or by simply copying and pasting the mysql info within your backup.

This will work assuming the versions of SMF you are using are the same.

Yes i have that but I only see an export option.

To import it through phpMyAdmin, login, select the database and click on the "SQL" tab.

The database is deleted, the original one

Did you save the table structure when you did a backup? If not, you'll have to re-install SMF 1.0.5 and empty out all the tables before importing the backup.

Not sure, the backup is 11.1 mb if that helps.  Here is the filename...

It's probably the entire database. Unfortunately if it's 11.1mb in size you probably won't be able to import it in phpMyAdmin. You'll have to break it up into several smaller sql files.
