Hello!

I am having an issue on one of my forums, in that lots of people are posting spam threads with emails.

The threads are along the lines of 'get psychological help today' or 'get cancer help today' and then they provide an email.

Is there any way I can stop users from posting threads all together whenever the @ symbol is used?

Thank you!

There's a mod to stop new members posting links. I always found that very handy for discouraging spammers.

According to the mod site, it doesn't support 2.1rc2.

You can also change the settings for new users, so that f.e. their first 5 posts have to be approved.

yeah, there's also this one but i needs updated to, which is what you (and I) want (well I'd like it to be either user group based or per board based)

I guess that these mod updates will happen near the full 2.1 release, which is months away.

You have a choice... either three cute product moves forward and we get closer to 2.1 final -- oe we're waste time updating mods for beta and rc versions.  :P

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

It'd probably be a pretty easy update, if some felt like tackling it and if the team felt like letting them.

all the team owned mods can be found on github. anyone is free to submit PR's.
