Admin Error

Today I noticed a lot of errors accumulating in the log (27,000+) I logged in and looked at the errors most of them were from the ezportal that I had seen before but never in this large amount.

I disabled error logging and hit save. Then I got this;

  this is all i see now when logging in as admin... the rest of the board appears to be functioning ...

If you can't get into admin, you'll have to fix the setting in your database.  Look for enableErrorLogging in smf_settings, set it to 1.

Yes, only the fckin admin is affected. It is something weird with the crappy SMF logs

And what version is the OP running? 2.1 what?

...and guess what? I have enableErrorLogging 1 (enabled), that's why crashed I think.

In my post I said that I use latest version of 2.1 so that means it's 2.1 RC2

That is the latest Release Candidate version, but since this is a development branch, the "latest version" is ambiguous (and probably more often than not refers to the current Github version).

(I'm happy to report that I haven't seen these errors (yet?) on any of my PostgreSQL forums.)

that fixed me up and the latest ezportal upgrade fixed the massive error count

For me it's working with enableErrorLogging = 0 (in PhPMyAdmin). Ty

I guess the next part we need to figure why does having error logging enabled disable parts of the site.

Seems to be related to ezportal, doesn't happen in clean install.  Have you had any similar reports in your support topic?

No, that would be the first one but again it is for 2.1 He said new version fixed the error being logged.
But still odd how the site would crash in the admin error even if a minor error was thrown.

It can be from mod_security ON If there is an error, or anything like ..<S<D..s,?!() adwwr
(I mean weird things in error log) you know what I mean
