Database Question

My database has all of the tables duplicated with the prefix "backup". I have no idea how or when it happened. Are these tables required ? If not, can these tables be deleted ?

they happened during the upgrade when you checked the backup option. if you dont need them any longer they can be deleted.

cant hurt to do a backup before you do anything.
