Screen reader support for vision impaired?
« on: December 01, 2019, 08:58:16 PM »
Hi, I am right at the start of building a forum and a blind friend of mine asked if my Simple Machines forum would support his screen reader. Does anyone know if Simple Machines is compatible with screen readers for vision impaired people?

I know my forum has a couple blind users.  I don't know what software they are using to read the screens.

They haven't complained about the forum, but the gear we use & support on the forum (guitar FX)...   One needed help translating online manuals for some particularly complex gear to "press the right arrow 4 times and the down arrow 2 times, the 4th button to the right twice", since the little screen on the gear doesn't have a screen reader...  Says that all blind guitarists get good at that, given how modern guitar gear works!  I'm amazed at the persistence...
