I keep getting this message every time I try to install smf using XAMPP.

"Some of the queries were not executed properly. This could be caused by an unsupported (development or old) version of your database software.

I have been searching the internet but haven't been able to figure it out. Please help. Thanks.

what version of php and MySQL are you using?

EDIT:
Turns out the version I have been using is 7.3.12

I honestly don't know. I am running the latest version of XAMPP so whatever that comes with.

Try it in php 7.1.

I'm installing that version now and will update the thread when I find out if it works. I think that might have been the issue.
