I've been trying a few times in the last hour or two, and when searching for a language to re-add, i keep getting "The Simple Machines site is not responding. Please try again later."
And not just by adding languages when i open an random page in the forum i keep getting the message that it cant acces the directorie
I am using the free hosting at infinityfree.net [nofollow]
And smf version 2.0.16 and 2.0.17

You're describing two separate problems.
