Hi,

I am getting these errors:

Type of error: Undefined

8: Undefined index:
xxxxxxxx/forum/index.php?action=calendar;viewmonth;year=2023;month=7;day=22

The full error message is as shown in my starting post!

Illori

it is missing what the undefined index is of. without that it is hard to tell you what needs to be done to fix it.

It is not missing anything, see the screendump of the error messages.

Illori

there is an icon next to undefined, click on that and post us what it shows.

The git tag leads me to a docblock

https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/blob/v2.1-rc.2/Sources/Subs.php#L3096

Click on the filename in the log and paste the lines of code here. I suspect it's somewhere near what I posted.

It has something to do with the smileys.

When i set the smileys to Off     in   Current Theme -> Select default smiley set for this theme: ->  No Smileys

Then the error is gone!

When did the errors start?
Do you have any cache enabled?

Really don't know when the errors started. i guess right after upgrading to RC2

Cache is off

This is confirmed & had been logged earlier as: https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/issues/5990

The line # is different, likely due to a mod, but the trace is the same.

I only started seeing it very recently with the latest github.

I have been able to reproduce, by navigating to & then off of a post that has a smiley in it...

And what is the solution to this?

It's really flooding my error logs. Everytime someone visits just the home url of my forum or when i go to the Admin section a new error is added.
When i refresh that main page you can see the error log is counting up.

There are no smileys on the main pages of the forum or admin section

No solution at this time.

I will move this thread to the Bug Reports board so it will get updated when fixed.

I have found that level-1 smf caching helps.  The error is only logged when reloading smileys.  If cached, it doesn't do that often.

Dsr-reefing -

We believe we have a solution to this problem, which can be found here:
https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/pull/6003/files

It would be very helpful to know if this resolves your issue.

Thanks,

That fix has been merged, and the issue should be resolved.

Upgrade to the latest version of 2.1 from Github & you'll be fine.

I'm moving this to the closed board.
