Deleting the comtent of the recycle bin

Hi all and sorry for asking.
I searched the whole forum here.
I searched all settings in my forum.
Nothing...

I have a recycle bin and it´s full with crap.
I can find the "delete" button on the side of the board, but it just brings me to the settings...

SMF 2.0.17

Please some short advice?

Do I understand correctly that some time ago, you followed a guide like this to create a recycle board?

It should work just like the Windows recycle bin:

• Delete an item once, it's in the recycle bin
• Delete it from there, it's gone

The delete button should be at the very bottom.

1. In admin panel, go to Maintenance => Forum Maintenance => Topics
2. In "Remove all topics not posted in for..." type "1 day"
3. Check "Any sort of topic" radiobutton
4. Click to select specific board, then check only 'Recycle Bin'
5. Click "Remove Now" and confirm the deletion
