Guests unable to see main board

Is it possible at all to let guests view the main board of a forum, without giving permission to post?
Not sure about the guest settings, but access to the forum is just not possible without logging in.

Pretty sure that's the default setting, provided you "allow guests to view the forum" and remove any permission that allows guests to post.

If you changed this and now guests can not even view -- then you have to turn guest browsing back ON...
