Remove news

Is there a way to remove "news"?
I searched web, somebody said in 2005 that could remove it in Admin->setting->theme .
It seems the new version SMF has no such setting anymore.
How can I remove "News"?

Current theme page in admin:
"Enable random news line in the forum header" and "Show news fader on board index"
Disable them both.
