Utube video player

Adding a player so people can post video`s and display videos in posts anyone got any ideas how the best way to go about this.

i am using version  SMF 2.0.17

Firstly, 2.1 is a different version than 2.0. The .x at the end is representative of the minor patches number.

As for your question, have you looked over the available mods yet? There should be more than one for adding youtube embeds. Seeing if any of the available mods suits your needs is always a good starting point

No worries, we all start somewhere!

You should stick to 2.0.17 if you're not familiar with it yet. 2.1 is still in beta stage and doesn't have as much custom content built for it.
