Not sure what issue you're having here? Is this on your own site, someone else's site?

DEN35

this is on my site. when turned on, registration does not work.

Arantor

Ok, so is it configured? Did you get v2 keys from Google and put them in the config? Got a link to your site?

DEN35

yes configured no errors. but registration fails. even when I turn off standard captcha

live627

do you have a registration question

charlottezweb

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I just learned my site is also getting this error.  I haven't had new bots/spammers register in awhile so I'm not sure when this started.

I validated that my recaptcha v2 keys are correct and they are working on other parts of my site external to SMF.

No SMF errors are being logged.

Has this been reported by others?  Not finding much on google specific to SMF.

Jason

The issue is with a change on the API fromGoogle.
The new version is fixed in RC3, but unfortunately not released yet.

I have no new members on my forum for 6 months waiting for the release of RC3.
If you are brave, you can fix it by upgrading to the development version.

Thank you for the info!

happening to me as well, this is a major issue. can someone share what file/line of code needs to be updated to fix this?

Oldiesmann

Replace the files in the Sources/ReCaptcha folder with the ones from GitHub.

Replace the files in the Sources/ReCaptcha folder with the ones from GitHub.

That appears to have done the trick - Thank you!
