Is there already something like the SSI.php for SMF2.1?

I'm using SMF inside my application, hereby my own application handles the registration and auth process of users, users for SMF get registered directly inside the database.

When they login into my application they will be logged into SMF too, SMF registration and login process was disabled for this completely.

Is there already such an API for registering users / logging them into the SMF application for SMF2.1?

SSI.php exists for 2.1, as it has for every version.

However, directly writing users to the smf database is a bad idea... use linked smf functions in your custom code rather than direct write
